Mujhe mara gaya hai I have been beaten became a popular meme after Indian celebrity journalist Arnab Goswami said that line from a police bus to the news reporters.

The image is from outside of a police station where Arnab was showing his injury marks to the reporters and alleged that the policemen who went to his house assaulted him physically.

The Republic TV editor was arrested regarding the deaths of interior designer Anvay Naik and his mother who died by suicide in Alibaug in May 2018. Naik allegedly left a suicide note which mentions that Goswami had not paid him his dues.
