I haven’t said a word, why are you yelling at me? meme originated from a live TV debate “India Upfront” on the Indian TV channel Times Now on 2nd March 2022.
While debating on Russia- Ukraine war issue, Times Now anchor Rahul Shivshankar yelled at Bohdan Nahaylo, the chief editor of Ukraine’s English-language newspaper Kyiv Post after he mistook him for an American guest Daniel McAdams, who is the executive director of the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity.
To which Mr McAdams responded “Dear host, I have not said a word yet. I don’t know why you’re yelling at me.”
This phrase became a popular meme template on Indian social media after a Twitter account skbozphd shared a clip from this debate on the microblogging site on 3rd March, 2022.
